I think we can save a click and make this simpler, clearer, quicker..
No need for it to actually look like a dropdown menu necessarily, but when I click 'Decline to rate' I'd like it to open a dropdown (rather than take me to a new piece of interface where I have to click on 'Please select')

decline to rate IS a dropdown, I guess what you meant is rather to show the dropdown by default, and, say, make the first choice of the dropdown ‘decline to rate’, so one just needs to make a selection instead of clicking twice.

No, it does not expand immediately, instead it replaces itself with the dropdown. But in your most recent reply you are stating "It navigates you somewhere where you can see a dropdown" which is definitely NOT what's happening here. Having the dropdown open immediately, I think, is a good idea, which is why I rated this a 5.

Are you saying when you click the text "Decline to vote" a dropdown box not only appears, but also opens (expands)?

Then you must be seeing a bug, because that's not what is happening here, and I agree, if it did behave like that, it would be really bad user experience. Suggest you click on the Support button and log it as a bug. Please make sure to include screen shots and exact steps to reproduce. Thanks!

Hello! Clicking the text "Decline to rate" doesn't open a dropdown. It navigates you somewhere where you can see a dropdown (which makes the "Decline to rate" text a link, not a dropdown, itself. And I think it's an unnecessary extra step) I think we're on the same page : )

People generatlly click the sort functions to see the highest, most popular, a-z first, not the lowest so this should be what you see when you first click the sort link - 2 clicks for lowest

I can't imagine how someone would even need to scroll down to see the text boxes etc for adding the idea, but given that clicking the Add Idea button again actually clears anything you may've typed, I guess I'm for this proposal. Because some people might think it's what you're supposed to click after filling in the boxes and boom - forms are all cleared.

It's 3 lines on certain devices, actually, but it's not the links I'd reduce, but maybe turn them into a menu, or prevent them sticking to the bottom taking away space.

Currently we have 'submit rating', 'New idea', 'Create' for new topic. they should all state 'Submit" to maintain the same approach and these buttons all need to be in the same colour

Group search bar always present, rather than having to return to the Dashboard. (duplicate)

At the moment users have to return the dashboard to search for a new group. However if there was always a group search bar present, the process of searching for new groups will be more streamlined and more enjoyable for users. Perhaps the group search bar could be located in between the Impact blog and the language selection tab at the top of the screen. This location would be easily accessible as well as being hard to miss.
