Route the NAT 117 bus via Pennard to link up the Coast
The little-used NAT operated 117 bus service, subsidised by the Council, links Killay with Oxwich, Scurlage and Horton. A small diversion from the route - down Vennaway Lane and through Pennard to Pennard Cliffs - Three Cliffs Coffee Shop - and back - would enable direct bus service from Pennard to Oxwich, Horton and Scurlage with connections to Rhossili. It would be an invaluable asset to the whole area and also help to make this bus route - than often runs empty - much more profitable. It would also give Pennard a direct bus link to/from Killay.

Notes: (i) As this service already connects with the main 118 route, those boarding the 117 in the Gower Villages have to change to the fast 118 service to get to Swansea anyway, so overall journey times for Swansea bound passengers from SW Gower would not necessrily be compromised by a diversion via Pennard, as Swansea-bound passengers would have already changed bus.

(ii) I've got about 300 signatures on a petition at the Pennard carnival supporting this from some years ago, but it was when First Group were 'caretaking' the franchsie after Veolia withdrew. Now time to re-launch the idea. But what do you think? I would definitely use it!

Link up the 114 and 118 Bus services
This would allow connections across Gower to and from Pennard.

Community Electric Car Scheme
Community Energy Wales (CEW) together with its local partner Carmarthenshire Energy is looking to locate an EV car club at Pennard as part of a Wales-wide initiative. To help with their grant application, they need to gauge the interest and need for a car club in your area. Also you can assist with details on the car club set up and its reach by answering the following survey. They want to shape the development of the project to suit the local transport needs. Thank you for taking the time to do this.

Create residents parking permit scheme.
There are a lot of issues locally with parking. In some areas visitors, tourists and dog walkers can be very inconsiderate and block people's drives with their parking.

Some areas of our community also contain multiple unused vehicles which are rarely moved and are a blight on our area of outstanding natural beauty. Some are clearly used for storage rather thanas cars but completely legal as they are taxed and insured.

It seems that although many complaints over many years have been made to police, community and council the law allows this to continue.

There could be residents parking permits to encourage those with more vehicles than occupants to find somewhere appropriate for their collections and therefore encouraging pride in our community and allowing people to park near their properties, especially those with mobility issues.
