We want people in Coalville to have room to express their creativity and make things they are proud of. This topic is for ideas and projects that give people to express or foster that creativity, as well as a way for people to use crafty skills to support the community with repairing and upcycling. If you want to start a making, mending or creating project of your own, big or small, share your ideas here!

At Coalville CAN, we are committed to locally led regeneration, with the community working together to create a town that serves it's needs and makes you proud to be in Coalville! Our main projects right now are to convert our current building in Memorial Square into a HQ, with the ground floor used as a space for various community projects and activities, as well as in the longer term purchasing the Co-op furniture store on Belvoir Road.
But, we also want to work on smaller, community led projects in the town and surrounding area, and this is where you come in! From grand ideas like reclaiming unused buildings for the community to smaller projects like a monthly litter pick, this is a place to share your ideas for improving the town centre, finding like minded people and coming together to make things happen.

Part of our ideals for Coalville is that anyone with the passion and enthusiasm to start their own business gets the support and opportunities to pursue that dream.
Our plans include connecting and supporting current and would-be small business owners, and as part of that we'd like to hear your ideas for local enterprise to collaborate and open new doors.

Physical and mental wellbeing are key to a strong community- how can a town be happy and healthy if the people that live there aren't?
Mental and physical wellbeing is more than just sporting activities and mental health workshops. Simply getting out on one of our monthly mega-walks around Coalville, coming to our street art workshops, or just sharing your hobbies with others is something to do that involves getting out there, meeting people and learning skills.
If you have any ideas to get people moving, thinking, or doing, from creative workshops, sports teams or hobby groups, share them with us and the community!
