The Tech Shack
Harry noticed there was an issue with e-waste being created, and with the problems of making devices being repaired harder, he thought he would find a way to offer his knowledge and time to tackle this ongoing problem.
“I hope that I can pass my knowledge onto the community and allow them to save landfill and money by repairing and upgrading their own devices.”
“My favourite thing to fix is PS3 consoles. It was the first machine I had an issue with, and fixed. I find them very useful consoles which hold sentimental value to me so enjoy seeing them restored to their prime.”
Ever since he was a child, Harry was obsessed with taking computers and devices apart to figure out how they work, he then found the challenge of putting it back together. It was like a fun game for him, and it hasn’t stopped since then.
If you would like to get in contact with Harry to get a device fixed, the best way to contact him is on Facebook: Tech Shack, or on Instagram: @TechShackCV

Coalville CAN
Hi there!
Just in case you haven't heard we are opening the doors of Coalville CAN HQ on Friday at 10am - You are invited!
We have been working hard, rescuing furniture, creating spaces and making the place ready. Thanks to Schneider, Plant Plan and hours of work from our team of young Kick starters and crew members its looking good!
It's a space for community, for creativity and for connecting. It has offices and hotdesking on the second floor (available now!) and a mix of spaces downstairs including The Workshop, The Gallery, Makers (a retail outlet) and Peter's Place in memory of Peter Elderfield - a local veteran that campaigned for housing solutions all of his life, without whom we would not have this amazing space overlooking the clocktower in Coalville to play with!
With extra special thanks to World Habitat and the National Lottery Community Fund for the space and the funding to get us started! Our key mission is to enable the local community to have control over buildings and run them as sustainable enterprises, with every penny of surplus going directly back into the community.
Over the coming year Coalville CAN will be offering a Community Share Offer to enable local people and people passionate about community ownership to invest in this building, so that it will be held, for future generations, in the hands of the community.
You can visit anytime between 10am and 4pm on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st - just turn up - no need to book!
On Friday 20th at 5pm there is an evening with Jon Alexander, author, on his book tour of the UK, with Citizens - all welcome - book using this event brite link May 20th 5pm to let us know you are coming.
