Say no to storing nuclear waste in Gower
It's been announced today by the UK Government and the Welsh Government that there is going to be a consultation with Swansea residents on the suggestion of how the residents and community of Swansea would feel if they were to be allowed to bury toxic nuclear waste in our area. There are two areas in Wales where consultations are planned with Swansea being one. We must say NO. Think of health implications and also of our children and the Swansea area. We are not the dumping ground for this!

Helping to preserve the village's rural identity
There are many ways in which this could be done but a good start would be to raise local awareness of the City and County of Swansea Local Development Plan and in particular the changes being proposed to the plan which will re designate Bishopston as an urban area and result in reduction of protected green wedge status for the fields in the heart of the village, making it easier for them to be developed for housing.

Create Bishopston & Murton Youth Council
Do you think young people in Bishopston & Murton would benefit from having a Youth Council? We have a Community Council but in order to sit on it you must be 18+. This could give our young people a voice and a say in the future of their community.
