Focus on Farming feaure (duplicate)

A new 'Focus on Farming' feature on the Hwb to introduce our local farmers, where they farm, what they farm and their produce outlets. Also with a little section on Whose Sheep are Ewe? Showing images of their sheep and the dye marks for that flock. As an ancient farming community, we definitely need something about farming!

Really nice idea if any farmers are up for it. How Gower farming works, how it's changing, what it will look like in the future, visiting a working farm - whatever a farmer wants to talk about, it's going to be pretty interesting.

Map, expand and coordinate local recycling (duplicate)

Work together to map where all our local recycling facilities are and what they offer and identify additional locations and broaden their scope. So working with Church, Chapel, National Trust, Village Hall, Pitton Cross and anyone else who has potential to offer space for recycling and coordinate services to ensure we have a broad range. So not just 5 locations for example, all offering to recycle batteries but none recycling light bulbs. Then, if local collection of recycling bins by Swansea Council/ TerraCycle is not possible, to work together to coordinate trips to central recycling sites.

This is something we can take positive action over as a community - and make a visible and meaningful difference. This is about citizen responsibility as a collective. Through local coordinated action we can fill in the gaps in local recycling facilities.

Companies such as RAW Charging offer fully funded and run EV solutions for communities and businesses (land owners) and pay the land owner a commission. An ideal solution would be ‘fast chargers’ in the village hall car park. It would be a service to the community and generate a modest income.
