I think a pop up would be better. I don't believe in FORCING people to use a tool the way YOU want. Better to create a pop up saying Strongly recommended you add a description because A, B and C.

I wouldn't enforce that; a well written topic title should be sufficient in most cases.

There are things you just cannot enforce. Considering topics are raised by admins, I think one can safely assume they have brains that they can use :) One can always edit it afterwards if it doesn't make sense or the community doesn't understand it (properly).

I suggest that future clients agree that VE will have access to their group to add content such as an external-facing topic to enable VE to offer this as a service to organisations wishing to engage with people on decision-making. We used to call this 'sponsored topics'. I'm proposing that clients agree that this will be part and parcel of their VE experience. We would let them know prior but we would not be in a position of having to get their permission.

Instead? Invite people to meetings; in person and video calls to problem solve the revenue model.

Having sponsored topics could be a revenue generating opportunity but whether this can be / should be mandatory is another question. I think this idea needs further discussion.

I think most groups are going to want to have a certain level of control over what topic get presented to their members . Tricky one.

The idea of sponsored topics is good, but I don't agree with the view of not allowing group admins to deny having them.
